For the best fishing on the East Cape, timing matters. Often times School-size tuna start appearing in early to mid-July, with larger tuna arriving later in the summer. Wahoo make their debut mid-summer, peaking into late summer and early fall. Dorado, found year-round, offer. If you’re after the thrill of landing a big blue marlin, late June marks the start of the season, peaking from July through September.
